Because to much protection is never enough.

Here is a set of software programs that I install in every computer that I fix and why I install them.

Most of them come in a "free" version, but if you feel that you need the additional protection that the paid program offers you can purchase them though the links on this website.

You can save yourself the price of a costly service call ($90-$180) that it would take to rid your computer of getting some "nastys" in your computer by installing these programs.  Not to mention the potential lose of your important data and files, possible identification information theft, lost time while your computer is being serviced.

If you use any "Wi-Fi" hot spots you potential for infections has gone up 50-100 times greater.

I just recently repaired a computer for my new customer who had none of these protections installed.  The computer had more than 290 different viruses, 35 different types of Trojan horse program infections, and 640 files damaged beyond repair.  I successfully recovered all his personal data files, but had to wipe the hard drive, re-install the operating system, get all the operating system updates, re-install user programs, utility programs, and these protection programs.  Needless to say the final bill was quite hefty, but he is quite satisfied with the speed of his system and now being properly protected.

A small disclaimer: These are my current favorite programs. You may be sold on another program that has the same features.  This is good. Keeping these "nasties" out of your computer is the real final result of the effort.  Please consider my insight to each of these program and why you should have a program on your computer to accomplish the task.
